Our members enjoyed a very interesting evening when we met Andrew Marland on Zoom, sharing his images in his presentation 'The Industrial Tourist'. In mostly black and white we saw some of the remnants of the northern industrial landscape and heard stories of the buildings and the area. Andrew has such enthusiasm for the subject and a great knowledge of the history linked to the images. Dramatic shapes, light and dark, shadows, angles and harsh contrast all made wonderful images and brought back memories for many of our members. |
